Hi, I have a 2004 Grand Cherokee Special Edition bought new. It has had very good care. It started having a very long cranking problem. A new crank sensor was put on but it didn't help. Chrysler paid for a full diagnostics at a Jeep dealership. They cannot find the problem. Sometimes, if you give it just a little bit of gas when it's doing this it will start right up.However, as you know you should not have to touch the gas pedal in a fuel injected vehicle to start it. We also have 2 other jeeps (1993 and a2001) with the same problem. The fuel pump tested out fine. The 04 has a 4.7 V8. Has anyone else had a problem like this ?
